Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt has been placed in concussion protocol, the team announced Saturday. He reported to the Steelers facility Friday with symptoms.

Watt, 29, was kneed in the chin by New England Patriots running back Ezekiel Elliott during the first play of Thursday’s game. He later took a heel to the face, also from Elliott. Watt entered the blue medical tent after Pittsburgh’s defense forced a punt on the Patriots’ second drive. He returned to the game, finishing with five total tackles. The Steelers lost 21-18, dropping their second consecutive game.
