The twenty happiest places to live in Great Britain have been revealed, using data from the Happy at Home Index from Rightmove. The list takes into consideration various factors, including a sense of community and access to green spaces.

Taking the number one spot is Richmond-Upon-Thames in London, which is of course home to Richmond Park and Kew Gardens, but moving there could set you back just under one million pounds. Ouch. Two locations in Wales made the list, with Monmouth at number three and Anglesey at number eighteen.

Elsewhere in our areas, Skipton came in at sixth, Hexham is at number ten and Harrogate is at number twelve. Only one location in Scotland made the list, which is Galashiels at number fifteen. And this one is also the cheapest place to live on the list, with average house prices at just under one hundred and sixty four thousand pounds.
