A former Premier League star's son scored on his debut for Manchester City in the UEFA Youth League on Tuesday, netting from the penalty spot in his side's 3-0 win over Young Boys.

The 15-year-old youngster fired City's U19s ahead in the ninth minute of the group stage match before first-half goals from Mahamadou Susoho Sissoho and Matthew Henderson-Hall put the game beyond the Swiss outfit.

A forward just like his father, the teenager showed great composure and accuracy to drill his spot-kick into the bottom right corner.

His father played for the likes of Leicester, Liverpool and Aston Villa during his playing career and also chalked up over 50 appearances for England.

The youngster played in attack alongside his older brother, 17, who has a dozen caps at youth level for the Manchester club.

Man City's new young star is the son of former England hitman Emile Heskey, who scored over 100 Premier League goals during his career.

Reigan Heskey, 15, is an exciting new starlet coming through the ranks at Manchester City, while brother Jaden is two years older and a regular captain of the academy's U18 side.

Manchester City has a history of generating fresh young talent, having recently kickstarted the careers of England international Phil Foden and promising Chelsea star Cole Palmer.

Heskey Snr, 45, began his career in Leicester's youth ranks before racking up over 150 appearances for the club. He won the League Cup twice in 1997 and 2000 at the King Power.
