Welsh health minister Eluned Morgan has become the most senior Welsh politician to call for a ceasefire in Israel. The Labour minister broke ranks, with her party declining to call for a ceasefire, sparking backlash against Kier Starter. The Labour Welsh Government have not commented on the issue.

The Met office has issued wind and rain warnings for large parts of Wales, with National resources Wales also warning of possible flooding. Rain warnings are in place in every county in Wales, with most of the south having wind warnings of up to 70 miles per hour, with damage to buildings and travel disruption likely.
