Filipinos throng cemeteries for All Saints' Day
On All Saints' Day, Nov. 1, 2023,many Filipinos brought flowers, candles, and food to cemeteries in the Philippines to honor their loved ones. In Manila, hundreds of thousands gathered at graveyards, where some had picnics on graves while others prayed at the resting places of friends and family. Zenaida Cruz, 77, visited Manila North Cemetery with her husband to offer candles and prayers at her parents' and grandparents' tomb.
