An IDF spokesperson stated, "The military identified a terrorist cell which attempted to infiltrate from Lebanon into Israeli territory." If independently verified, this would mark the second infiltration attempt along the Israel-Lebanon border in as many days.

Simultaneously, Israeli airstrikes have resulted in the loss of at least 256 lives, including 20 children, and injuries to 1,788 individuals within a 24-hour period, according to Gaza hospitals. Palestinian news sources have reported that a number of Palestinians were casualties of an Israeli airstrike targeting a residence in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip. The United Nations has indicated that over 1,300 structures in the Gaza Strip have been destroyed.
