Israelis around the world return home after Hamas attacks
Ben Ovadia, who lives in London, flew back to Israel after his family was attacked by Hamas militants at a music festival.
He watched helplessly as his mother and brother sent updates for eight hours, hiding from gunfire.
Eventually, they managed to escape.
Ben joined friends in forming a neighborhood watch in Lod to ensure calm and has been delivering donated food.
Guy, who lives in London, returned to Israel after learning that six of his friends were missing after the Supernova music festival.
Two of them have since been confirmed dead.
Guy is returning to be a military reservist and attend the funerals of his friends.
Ben, who was about to go trekking in Nepal, flew back to Israel after the attacks.
He is now on standby to serve as a reservist in a reconnaissance unit.
Ilan Fisher, attending a friend's wedding in Australia, is also returning to join the army as a reserve.
He expects to be drafted back into the army's media department.
Rachel Gold and Jessica Kane flew back to Israel from the US with $15,000 worth of supplies donated by the Jewish community.
They raised the funds on social media and carried the supplies with them.
These Israelis are returning home to cope with the conflict, attend funerals, and help protect their communities.
