As the assembly elections are around the corner in Telangana, and the politicians are busy campaigning in different districts of Telangana. Today we have brought to you some data from the last assembly elections of Telangana. The state had its last assembly elections in 2018, where TRS came out as the winners.
TRS had secured 88 seats out of 119 seats, whereas, their competitor, Congress got 19
seats. The difference between Congress and TRS was 69 seats. The rest of the parties like AIMIM which got 7 seats, TDP which got 2 seats, IND got 1 seat and 2 seats were won by the other parties.
The seat sharing percentage post 2018 poll was:-
TRS: 47.4%
Congress: 28.7%
AIMIM: 2.7%
TDP: 3.5%
IND: 3.3%
BJP: 7.1%
OTH: 7.3%
Now let's read some data to know about the demographic details of the voters of Telangana.
When it comes to religion, Telangana has Hindu population. According to data, the Hindu population in Telangana is 85.1%. Whereas, the Muslim population in the state of Telangana is 12.7%, Christians comprise 1.3%, Sikhs are 0.1%, Buddist are 0.1%, Jains are 0.1%, Parsis are 0.1% and the rest 0.7% goes for other religions.
When it comes to caste, the data reveals that the ST population is 37.0%, SC population is 63.0%.
When it comes to urbanisation in Telangana, the state has 38.9% urban population, and the rest 61.1% percent is rural population.
When it comes to gender, the ratio of female to male in Telangana is 988 females for
each 1000 male. Male population in the state comprises 50.3% of the total population, and 49.7% female.
In the 2018 assembly elections, total voter turn-out was 79.7%. The male voter turnout was 50.3% and 48.0% female voters, and 1.7% other.

18-24 age group had 14.2% voters
25-34 age group had 31.3% voters
35-44 age group had 22.3% voters
44-54 age group had 16.3% voters
55-64 age group had 9% voters
