Fukushima sake brewer supports devastated fishing community
Daisuke Suzuki, a sake master, is helping his Fukushima community recover after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami by making sake. His family's brewery, Iwaki Kotobuki, was destroyed, but for generations, their sake has been a comforting tradition for local fishermen who enjoyed it with seafood delicacies from the area. Now, Suzuki continues this tradition as life slowly returns to normal in the devastated region.
