A Venezuelan man who had been detained by police on Monday evening at the Port of Port of Spain, allegedly trying to get to Tobago, claims he is innocent in a video he posted on social media.

Images posted to social media showed him hand cuffed and in police custody.


Police said he is wanted for several homicides in Venezuela.

The man said he was later freed by the police and is innocent.
