We knew about the E-Waste Mega Dump of Agbogbloshie even before we arrived in Ghana but had no interest putting it on the list of places we to visit during our For91days here. But we had daily contact with Agbogbloshie, since we lived in Adabraka and the winds during the evening hours would always carry the toxic fumes of our neighborhood.
And when a friend of ours offered us to take us there, we agreed after thinking about it for a while. We don't do poverty tourism but this is an entire different thing - we want to show the rest of the world where their "recycled" electronics are ending up. So come along and walk with us through Agbogbloshie to see the terror with your own eyes.
