A drug consumption room could open in the city within weeks after Scotland’s chief law officer said it would not be in the public interest to prosecute users of such facilities.
A pilot project has been developing by Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership and Police Scotland which will be presented to a council board later this month.

Emergency Services did discover two suspicious objects and Police Scotland has confirmed that while one was inert and posed no risk the other, suspected to be ordnance, has been taken for examination.

The venue previously had its late license revoked following police complaints of drug abuse and disorder.
Its closure was protested by a number of cultural figures and locals at large.
