Police rescued a terrified baby deer after it became tangled in the plastic pool cover of backyard pool.
Bodycam footage shows officers Downing and Ames of the Ware Police Department in Massachusetts, USA, carrying out the rescue.
The deer can be seen struggling to stay struggling to stay afloat in the middle of the pool of a residence in Ware.
The rescue took place on August 25 after the owner placed a 911 call saying that the fawn had become trapped in the pool.
The responding officers pushed the deer out of the tarpaulin with a pool-cleaning net and the deer was able to climb to safety and run away.
Police Chief Shawn Crevier said: "The call came in at 12:29 PM via 911. The resident indicated that there was a fawn in their pool.
"The deer ran off back into the wood area behind their house, there was no sign that it was injured."
