He let fans know that he's dealing with a serious health issue and has to cancel his upcoming tour, TMZ reports.

Over the past week I’ve been in hospital with a serious kidney infection, it’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone, and doctors orders are that I now need to rest and recover, Liam Payne, via Instagram.
Payne's South American tour was scheduled to take place from Sept. 1 through Sept. 12.

Refunds will be issued to
fans who bought tickets.
However, Payne says he's working on
figuring out a way to reschedule the tour. .
