Charles Martinet , to Stop Voicing Mario.
Martinet has voiced the iconic character
for more than 25 years.
Some of the main titles he's appeared in include 'Super Mario 64,' 'Super Mario Odyssey' and
'Super Mario Galaxy,' The Verge reports. .
But on Aug. 21, Nintendo announced that Martinet will transition his role within the company. .
Charles is now moving into the brand-new role of Mario Ambassador. , Nintendo, via X.
With this new transition, he will be stepping back from recording character voices for our games, but he'll continue to travel the world sharing the joy of Mario and interacting with you all!, Nintendo, via X.
