In episode 5 of #RTLocal, our series highlighting the voices of those working at the grassroots of tourism, we speak with Kundan Singh, a farmer in village Kais in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu District. He and his family had turned their traditional wood-and-stone home set amidst vegetable and fruit farms into a popular budget homestay. With travel coming to a complete stop, Kundan and his family have to solely rely on their farms for their income this year. Kundan remains hopeful that once the pandemic subsides, travellers will be back and will enjoy their stay in his humble but beautiful homestay.
