The top lumberjack athletes in the country returned to Milwaukee for the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS U.S. Championships , the first time back at the famed German Fest since 2019. The competition challenges the strongest, the toughest, and most skilled as they go head-to-head with razor-sharp axes and the most powerful chainsaws backed by Stihl. When the sawdust settled, there were more than enough moments to discuss. Martha King of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, became the first woman to win three U.S. Championships. She marked a personal best in the competition in the Underhand Chop with 31.97 seconds and the Standing Block Chop with 30.99 seconds. But, it was fellow competitor Samantha Graves of Victor, New York, who sliced King's Standing Block Chop time, setting a new world record of 30.02 seconds. For the men, Jason Lentz of Diana, West Virginia, took home the gold and a personal best in the Underhand Chop with 16.85 seconds and the Stock Saw with 10.90 seconds. Lentz secured his win with three clutch cuts in the Hot Saw, giving him the second U.S. Championship win of his career. The weekend closed with another world record set by veteran Walt Page of Tollhouse, California, with 35.43 seconds in the Springboard, a record that hadn't been broken since 2016. To see it for yourself, check out the action on the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS YouTube channel . The entire season of competitions will make its debut on Roku this fall.
