An investigation has been launched after two people were assaulted and robbed near Holloway Head on Wednesday. The two men were kicked to the ground and assaulted. A gold chain, car keys and an iPhone were stolen. The offenders made off in a grey Mini Cooper which hit one of the victims.
An armed robber who tried to raid two shops on the same road in Sutton Coldfield on the same day has been jailed. John Williams was jailed for 12 years at Birmingham Crown Court on 14 August for robbery and attempted robbery.
A Victorian Black Country pub called The Tilted Barrel is now Britain's wonkiest pub following the loss of the Crooked House. Landlady Haych Mann said it was 'bitter sweet' to possibly be the new 'Britain's wonkiest pub'. The site is fortunately Grade II listed which should help protect it's future.
