Perikatan Nasional made inroads into the stronghold of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim once again after winning all the three state seats under the Permatang Pauh parliamentary constituency in the Penang polls on Aug 12. In last year’s general election, Permatang Pauh also fell to PN with the defeat of Anwar’s daughter Nurul Izzah Anwar.
