The federal grand jury in Washington, D.C. that recently indicted former President Donald Trump is convening again, indicating that the special counsel's criminal investigation into Trump's actions to overturn the 2020 election results might expand to include more defendants. The previous indictment on August 1st charged Trump with four felony counts related to his attempts to reverse President Joe Biden's election win. The indictment implicated six alleged co-conspirators, primarily lawyers, whose identities were not disclosed but are speculated to face charges potentially. One of the alleged co-conspirators is thought to be John Eastman, a Trump ally lawyer. Eastman's attorneys sought a delay in his disbarment proceedings due to the possibility of an indictment. Bernie Kerik, former NYC Police Department commissioner, had an extended interview with investigators regarding Trump's campaign lawyer Rudy Giuliani's role in attempting to overturn the election results.
