Communal clashes erupted initially in Haryana's Nuh on Monday and subsequently spread to Gurgaon on Tuesday, resulting in a minimum of six fatalities. Nuh police have taken into custody 116 individuals and filed 26 First Information Reports (FIRs). Prashant Panwar, the DC of Nuh, has confirmed the deployment of 14 police units to prevent any untoward incidents. Meanwhile, educational institutions will remain shut until further notice.

Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, pledged resolute action against the wrongdoers, asserting that those found responsible will face consequences. Khattar expressed, ""The incident has claimed the lives of six individuals, including four civilians and two home guards. The number of arrests currently stands at 116. We are ensuring their custody, prioritizing public safety. The overall state of affairs is stable. I urge the public to uphold peace, tranquility, and unity.""

Gurgaon's Assistant Commissioner of Police (crime), Varun Dahiya, said In the last two days, 15 FIRs have been registered. After the incident happened on July 31, there has been a significant reduction in such incidents. We are closely monitoring the hotspots and sensitive areas... Eight accused have been arrested so far and preventive action was taken against 30 people. In sector 57 at Anjuman mosque in Gurugram, a mob gathered and incited this incident in which two persons got injured and one died on the spot, now the other person is stable.

On a tragic note, a mosque was set ablaze in a Gurgaon locality, and a mob fatally attacked the deputy imam post-midnight on Monday. Additionally, one individual was injured in the incident. Later, during the afternoon, shops in Gurgaon's Badshahpur area were intentionally ignited.

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has expressed concern over the alleged exploitation of children in the recent communal disturbances in Nuh district. In a letter to the Haryana administration, the NCPCR called for a thorough inquiry into the events and the identification of children engaged in unlawful protests, emphasizing their protection.

Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) described the Haryana violence as a ""terror attack"" and urged a National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe. The VHP demanded severe punishment for the culprits and announced plans for a significant religious procession, organizing mahapanchayats in Nuh's vicinity.

Gurgaon's Deputy Commissioner, Nishant Kumar Yadav, issued an order prohibiting the sale of loose petrol and diesel, except for emergencies, due to communal tensions in the region.

Further incidents of violence were reported in Gurgaon, where two shops were set ablaze by a mob. Firefighters managed to control the fire. Police reached the scene, but some suspects had already fled.
