Marikina sounds second alarm as river level hits 16 meters
The city government of Marikina sounded the second alarm after its river's water level reached 16 meters at 11:11 a.m. Thursday, July 27, 2023. With the second alarm, residents near the Marikina river are warned to prepare for possible evacuation. When the water level reaches 18 meters, the third alarm is sounded, meaning mandatory evacuation will be carried out.
