A 23-year-old Indian student in Australia was reportedly assaulted by Khalistani supporters in Australia. The student was allegedly beaten up with iron rods after he voiced opposition to Khalistani extremist activities. The attack took place in Sydney's western suburb of Merrylands, where the assailants were chanting "Khalistan Zindabad." Reports said that they targeted the student while he was on his way to work. Reports revealed that the man works as a driver and has requested anonymity.
