Dramatic footage shows the moment a gun supplier was arrested by armed police who found him converting blank-firing pistols into deadly firearms from his bedroom.
Alireza Nowbakht, 50, was detained by police who swooped at his property in Smethwick, West Mids., on December 22 last year.
A court heard he operated a weapons factory from his home where he made lethal firearms from blank-firing guns he ordered online.
Nowbakht bought the guns from a legitimate supplier and had them delivered to a nearby address, which he would then pick up.
He used a makeshift workshop, including machining tools, to convert the guns into viable weapons, live rounds of ammunition and ammunition casings.
Officers from the National Crime Agency’s Armed Operations Unit raided his home
and also found a stolen VW Tiguan parked outside.
