India’s third lunar mission..Chandrayaan-3 is slated to take off tomorrow i.e on July 14, 2023, at 2:35 pm from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. The successful landing of the spacecraft will make India only the fourth country after Russia, the US and China to achieve a soft-landing on the lunar surface. And its successful landing will make India the first country to land a spacecraft on the South Pole of the Moon, which still remains an area unexplored by the humans. Even Chandrayaan-2, that was launched in 2019, was supposed to land on the South Pole of the moon, but the lander carrying the rover had crashed during the final moments. In April 2019, Israel had also attempted a landing on the South Pole, but the spacecraft had crashed.
