Ukraine will have to come to terms with the loss of some territory in Luhansk and Donetsk and possibly agree to an agreement, possibly overseen by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, that will grant some cultural and local political autonomy to additional Russian-speaking areas of Donbass. More painfully, Kiev will have to recognize Russian sovereignty over Crimea, while giving up territory for a land bridge between the peninsula and, the rest of Russia.
