PH has 'No shortage' of licensed nurses, but burdened with low wages - says FNU
Jocelyn Santos-Andamo, Filipino Nurses United (FNU) secretary general, said that there are plenty of licensed nurses in the country to address the shortage in the health care sector. However, due to low salaries and poor working conditions, these nurses are forced to search for greener pastures abroad or work in non-nursing careers.
