Former President Donald Trump has been indicted on seven counts in the special counsel's classified documents probe, marking the first time a former president has faced federal charges. The special counsel is investigating Trump's handling of classified documents brought to his Mar-a-Lago resort after leaving the White House, as well as possible obstruction and government efforts to retrieve the material. Trump took to Truth Social to inform his followers that the Justice Department had informed him about his indictment. Trump referred to the indictment as related to the "Boxes Hoax" and criticized the Biden Administration, referring to it as corrupt. He said he was summoned to appear at the Federal Courthouse in Miami on Tuesday at 3 PM.
