2023 Award for Promoting Philippines-China Understanding | June 8, 2023

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. graces the Award for Promoting Philippines-China Understanding (APPCU) award ceremony at The Manila Hotel in the City of Manila on June 8, 2023.

Launched on 16 January 2021, the APPCU is a joint undertaking led by the Association for Philippines-China Understanding (APCU) and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of the Philippines. It is a novel award-giving body that honors Filipinos who made efforts in strengthening and promoting mutual understanding between the Philippines and China through their advocacies and expertise in various disciplines, including mass media and public service, trade and commerce, arts, culture and sciences.

The APCU is a pioneer and leading non-government organization (NGO) in the Philippines that promotes people-to-people diplomacy, as well as bilateral understanding and friendship between the Philippines and China through cultural, academic and visit exchanges, economic and trade cooperation and partnership, among others.
