Former Negri Sembilan mentri besar Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad is unlikely to be fielded as a candidate in the coming state election, said Datuk Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki.
The Umno secretary-general said that on Friday (June 2) when asked to comment on Mohd Isa’s returning to the party and to politics, adding that the party hopes Mohd Isa can still contribute to the election campaign.
Meanwhile, Asyraf also said he has not seen any formal apology or appeal from former Pasir Salak MP Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman against his suspension from Umno last year.
