Air New Zealand Unveils Plan , to Weigh Passengers At Check-In.
CNN reports that New Zealand's
Civil Aviation Authority along with
Air New Zealand will begin weighing passengers.
The new requirement in place for all passengers
departing on international flights from Auckland
International Airport will be in effect through July 2. .
According to Air New Zealand, the program
is part of a planned passenger weight survey. .
The goal of the program is to gather data
on weight load and distribution for airplanes.

According to the airline,
the data has been made anonymous
to protect people's privacy.
CNN reports that outgoing passengers
will be asked to stand on a digital scale
while checking in for their flight.
