Former Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng has said he remains friends with his old boss Liz Truss, despite her sacking him over the economic fallout caused by his mini-budget last October.

Reflecting on that moment, he told Cathy Newman on Channel 4 News “I don’t think she reacted in a particularly calm way.”
