The youngsters paved the way for the national tankers this year with Teia Salvino taking the helm with a gold, a silver and two bronze mints.
The 17-year-old Salvino had a rousing debut in the Southeast Asian Games, clocking in 1-minute and 1-point-64 seconds to dominate the women’s 100-meter backstroke event.
To make it even more memorable, she also broke the national and SEA Games records of the said event and reset the national women’s 50-meter backstroke record with her 28-point-95 – second swim.
We’re going all out on this unbelievable performance with Teia herself! Joining us via zoom all the way from San Clemente, California.
