Labour took control of Plymouth and Stoke-on-Trent from the Tories, securing overall control of the latter for the first time since 1998. Sir Keir addressed Labour activists in Medway, expressing his satisfaction with the results and declaring that they are on track for a Labour majority at the next general election.
