Barisan Nasional has denied that its MPs are involved in efforts to topple the government as alleged by certain parties, said its deputy chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.
Mohamad, who is Defence Minister, on Tuesday (May 2) rebutted Bersatu supreme council member Muhammad Faiz Na'aman’s claim that Perikatan Nasional had obtained the support of 126 MPs, adding that Barisan would not bring down the existing government as it promised to form a stable government needed to manage the country and the government was built on the cooperation of various parties.
He also said it would be very difficult for any party to topple the government of the day as the anti-hopping law in place and the unity government is currently enjoying the support of a two-thirds majority.
