Amazon, Microsoft, and Google See Slowing Growth in Cloud Computing Revenue

The leading cloud vendors, Amazon ($AMZN@US), Microsoft ($MSFT@US), and Google ($GOOGL@US), are experiencing a slowdown in revenue growth as clients are looking for ways to trim costs. Amazon Web Services saw revenue growth slow by around 5 percent in April compared to 16 percent in Q1. Google's cloud growth slowed to 28 percent YoY in Q1, while Microsoft warned of a slowdown in December that could continue. Executives from the companies said they expected the slowdown to be temporary and were still optimistic about the cloud's future prospects.
