Police have found a body in search for the missing partner of Marelle Sturrock, a pregnant woman found dead at a property on Jura Street.

The body was discovered following searches of Murdock Reservoir, and Marelle’s death is now being treated as a murder investigation.

A police spokesperson said there is no suggestion that anyone else has been involved.

Next, Doctors in Glasgow are calling for the reinstatement of a specialist practice for homeless people.

The Deep End Group which represents GPs working in socio-economically deprived areas said closing the Hunter Street practice would have significant negative consequences.

While the Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership said a new complex needs service has been developed.

And in other news, the Glasgow-born social enterprise Social Bite has reopened in the city centre, this time in a new premise on Sauchiehall Street.

The cafe encourages customers to pay forward towards food and drink for homeless people and offers a 12 week training programme to those chronically out of work.
