On the occasion of ‘Akshaya Tritiya’ Hindu devotees took holy dip in ‘Sangam’ in Prayagraj on the morning of April 22.

On this day people start their day with taking holy dip and then perform rituals like offering food, clothes, and other things to the needy people.

This day falls on the third ‘tithi’ of the bright half of ‘Vaisakha’ month. This day is considered auspicious, so people indulge into good activities. Akshaya Tritiya is also celebrated by the people of Jain religion.
