Attorney-General meets Police chiefs to discuss concept

Australia is one step closer to having a national firearms registry, after Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus met with state police chiefs in Sydney. The concept gained momentum after two police officers and a local man were killed in shoot-out on Queensland’s western downs in December. Queensland's police minister Mark Ryan is pleased its progress and says he's confident the register will be implemented.
