The leader of the Labour Party has claimed that he was never friends with his predecessor, Jeremy Corbyn.Sir Keir Starmer denied that he was a friend of Corbyn's, despite previously describing him as one.Corbyn has become estranged from the party that he led between 2015 and 2020, and now sits as an independent MP. Speaking on LBC, Starmer distanced himself from Corbyn following the announcement that he would be blocked from running as a Labour candidate in the next election.
