Craigavon Bridge Derry

Craigavon Bridge in Derry, the oldest surviving bridge linking the cityside and Waterside across the west and east banks of the River Foyle. It was named after Lord Craigavon, the first Prime Minister of Northern Ireland and was designed by Matthew A Robinson. The bridge was completed and opened in 1933 and for decades the lower bridge carried railway trains.
