Calgary job hunters face "competitive" market, "disconnect" with employers amid ongoing search


Calgary is leading the way with the highest unemployment rate in the country and countless are looking for work.

Some employers are asking potential employees to go to great lengths to fill the position.

Spirit River is a recent university graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Policy Studies.

"Once you get an interview, you have to do the pre-screening, the interview and then for a lot of them they ask you to do something else like a written submission, or like a presentation." River said.

As Gaby Rios reports, there is a disconnect between employers and skilled workers.
