A Punjab Police team reached the residence of fugitive separatist Amritpal Singh in Amritsar’s Jallupur Khera village on March 22.

The team inquired with Singh's family members. A police official said that they visited the village "just for a normal inquiry."

The manhunt to nab Singh, a self-proclaimed Khalistan separatist and chief of the ‘Waris Punjab De’ organization, entered its fifth day on March 22.
