Turkey's Erdogan asks parliament to vote on Finland's NATO bid

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan ends months of delays by asking parliament to vote on Finland's bid to join the NATO defense bloc - paving the way for the Nordic nation to join the alliance without its neighbor Sweden. Finland and Sweden ended decades of military non-alignment and decided to join the US-led defense alliance in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
