Jockey Ricky Doyle produced a remarkable recovery after sliding out of the saddle during the Cross Country Chase at Cheltenham Festival.

The Irish jockey appeared to have been unseated by Foxy Jacks on the second day of the Festival.

Doyle was seen clinging onto the nine-year-old, before positioning himself back in the saddle.

The impressive recovery was only short-lived, however, with Foxy Jacks unseating Doyle later in the race.

The Cross Country Chase is the longest at the Festival and has the most fences to jump, with 32 obstacles to clear.

A dramatic conclusion to the race saw Delta Work and Galvin neck-and-neck for victory.

Delta Work came across the line first to defend the title he won last year, after thrilling beating the retiring Grand National winner Tiger Roll.

But this time around he was the people's favorite, with the 10-year-old sent off as the heavily-backed 11-10 market leader.

The result gave trainer Gordon Elliott a fifth victory in seven years at the race.
