The Youth and Sports Ministry will implement swimming classes in selected states in a bid to instil the importance of water safety among Malaysians, especially children.
Its Minister Hannah Yeoh said when winding up the debate Supply Bill 2023 at the committee level in the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday (March 14) that the programme, which is expected to be launched this month, will benefit 1,600 children aged three to 12 from B40 families.
