हर साल फाल्‍गुन मास की पूर्णिमा तिथि को होलिका दहन किया जाता है, इसके बाद ही अगले दिन प्रतिपदा तिथि को रंगों की होली खेली जाती है. होलिका दहन के लिए प्रदोष काल का समय अच्‍छा माना जाता है. इस साल पूर्णिमा तिथि 6 मार्च से शुरू होगी और 7 मार्च को खत्‍म होगी. दोनों ही दिन पूर्णिमा तिथि प्रदोष काल को स्‍पर्श करेगी. ऐसे में तमाम लोगों में इस बात को लेकर कन्‍फ्यूजन बना हुआ है कि आखिर होलिका दहन किस दिन करना चाहिए.चलिए बताते हैं.

Holika Dahan is done every year on the full moon date of Phalgun month, only after that Holi of colors is played on the next day on Pratipada date. Pradosh period is considered auspicious for Holika Dahan. This year the full moon date will start from 6th March and will end on 7th March.
