The Gazoo Racing moniker has been trickling down to mass-market Toyota offerings via the ‘GR Sport’ or ‘GR-S’ package, and being one of the Japanese car brand’s sales drivers in the region, the Toyota Fortuner is a natural beneficiary of such a treatment.
The 2022 Toyota Fortuner GR Sport 4x4, priced at P2,595,000, sits at the top of the model range. It packs the same 2.8-liter turbodiesel engine as the regular higher-end variants, but it also gets some GR Sport upgrades (apart from badges) to justify the P50,000 price difference over the Fortuner LTD. Are these upgrades worth the premium, and how significant are the performance gains? Watch our review, shot on location at Driftwoods Action Park in Indang, Cavite, to find out.
