A major network of spies has been disrupted in Australia during the past year with ASIO warning the country is facing an "unprecedented" assault from foreign espionage agencies. In his annual threat assessment, Australia's top spy Mike Burgess warned that Australians are being targeted by spies who have a particular interest in defence secrets.
