A 42-year-old businessman claimed trial at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court on Tuesday (Feb 21) to two counts of graft linked to the Jana Wibawa programme, which was organised by the government during the Covid-19 pandemic to assist bumiputra contractors.
The accused, Adam Radlan Adam Muhammad, is also Segambut Bersatu division deputy chief.
MACC is currently investigating allegations that the chosen contractors allegedly deposited RM300mil into the Bersatu party account.
